Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 pieces Deli ham slices
  • 4 rings Pineapple slices (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 pieces Toothpicks

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, make a deep pocket in each breast, being careful not to cut through to the other side.

Step 3

Season both the outside and inside of the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 4

Stuff each chicken breast with one slice of ham, one pineapple ring, and 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese. Use toothpicks to secure the opening so the filling doesn’t fall out during cooking.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. This step locks in the juices and enhances the flavor.

Step 6

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 7

Carefully remove the chicken from the oven, discard the toothpicks, and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve warm with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad. Enjoy your Hawaiian Stuffed Chicken Breasts!
