Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef sirloin
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 120 ml pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 150 grams fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 large yellow bell pepper
  • 3 stalks green onions
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef sirloin into bite-sized strips and set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Set the sauce aside.

Step 3

Core and dice the red and yellow bell peppers into bite-sized pieces. Slice the green onions thinly, separating the white and green parts. Mince the garlic and ginger.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef strips, season with salt and black pepper, and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
