Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 6 cups Romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 0.5 cup Pickles
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 Red onion
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Mustard

Directions

Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Step 2

Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook and break the meat into small pieces with a wooden spoon.

Step 3

Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 4

While the beef cooks, prepare the salad base. Chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl.

Step 5

Slice the cherry tomatoes in half, dice the cucumber, and chop the pickles into small pieces. Thinly slice the red onion quarter. Add all these to the salad bowl.

Step 6

Top the salad base with the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and any additional toppings of your choice.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard to create a dressing. Taste and adjust proportions as needed.

Step 8

Drizzle the dressing evenly over the salad or serve on the side for individual portions.

Step 9

Toss the salad gently to combine all the ingredients or serve layered for customizable plating. Serve immediately and enjoy!
