Ingredients

  • 12 oz Linguine pasta
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Cooked ham, diced
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the linguine and set it aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

Step 3

Stir in the diced ham and cook for 3-4 minutes until it begins to brown slightly.

Step 4

Turn the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.

Step 5

Gradually add the shredded Swiss cheese and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring constantly until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 7

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing it gently with the sauce to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to thin it to your desired consistency.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle the dish with fresh parsley, if using, and serve immediately.
