Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked white rice
  • 1 cup Cooked diced ham
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, diced ham, shredded mozzarella, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully incorporated.

Step 3

Lightly flour a clean surface and place the rice mixture on it. Flatten the mixture into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick using your hands or a rolling pin.

Step 4

Carefully roll the rectangle into a log shape, keeping the roll as tight as possible.

Step 5

Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch thick slices to create the wheels.

Step 6

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Gently sear each rice wheel for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.

Step 7

Transfer the seared rice wheels onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the wheels are heated through.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as is!
