Ingredients

  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 units Black tea bags
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 4 units Fresh lemons
  • 3 cups Cold water
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 1 for garnish Lemon slices

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Step 2

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

While the tea is steeping, juice the lemons to yield about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, removing any seeds.

Once the tea is steeped, remove the tea bags and stir in the granulated sugar until it is fully dissolved.

Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature, or you can chill it in the refrigerator for faster cooling.
