Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground lamb
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 0.5 cup Tzatziki sauce
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato, sliced
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, thinly sliced

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, being careful not to overmix.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Use your thumb to gently press a small indentation in the center of each patty; this helps them cook evenly.

Step 3

Brush both sides of each patty with olive oil to prevent sticking and ensure a nice sear on the grill.

Step 4

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the lamb patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Adjust cook time based on your desired level of doneness.

Step 5

During the last minute of cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill cut-side down until lightly golden, about 30 seconds.

Step 6

To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a grilled lamb patty, a lettuce leaf, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Finish with the top half of the bun.

Step 7

Serve the burgers hot with your favorite side dishes, such as fries or a crisp salad, and enjoy!
