Ingredients

  • 2 pounds bone-in ham steak
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium heat (around 350°F). Lightly oil the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture slightly thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Step 3

Pat the ham steak dry with paper towels. Brush one side of the ham generously with the prepared glaze.

Step 4

Place the ham steak glazed side down on the preheated grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes, brushing the other side with glaze as it cooks.

Step 5

Flip the ham steak and cook the other side for another 6-8 minutes or until grill marks form and the ham is heated through.

Step 6

Remove the ham from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 7

Slice the ham and serve immediately with any remaining glaze drizzled over the top or served on the side for dipping.
