Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef (or lamb)
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • 2 sheets Ready-to-use puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 Egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 teaspoons Vegetable oil (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.

Step 3

On a clean surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets slightly to make them even. Cut each sheet into 3x3-inch squares.

Step 4

Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.

Step 5

Fold the corners of each square toward the center to create a sealed puff. Pinch the edges tightly to prevent the filling from leaking. Repeat for all the squares.

Step 6

Brush the tops of the puffs lightly with the beaten egg to give them a golden sheen during cooking.

Step 7

Carefully place the prepared puffs onto the grill. Cook for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the pastry is golden and puffed, and the meat is fully cooked. Use tongs to flip them gently.

Step 8

Remove the puffs from the grill and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 9

Serve warm as an appetizer or alongside a dipping sauce of your choice.
