  • 4 slices Sourdough bread (or preferred bread)
  • 1 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Place the slices of sourdough bread on a clean surface. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of unsalted butter on one side of each slice, ensuring an even coating.

Step 2

On the unbuttered side of half the slices, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise. Sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder on the mayonnaise if desired for extra flavor.

Step 3

Evenly distribute the shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top of the mayonnaise-coated side of two slices of bread. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
