Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon steaks
  • 1 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil (for grilling)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the salmon steaks under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.

Step 2

In a food processor or blender, combine fresh basil leaves, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth to create a marinade.

Step 3

Place the salmon steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade evenly over them. Make sure each piece is well coated. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.

Step 4

Preheat your grill to medium heat. Lightly brush or spray the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

Step 5

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard any excess marinade. Place the salmon steaks directly on the preheated grill.

Step 6

Grill each side of the salmon for about 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Step 7

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the grilled salmon steaks with a garnish of fresh basil leaves and lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy!
