Ingredients

  • 115 grams Unsalted butter
  • 150 grams White chocolate chips
  • 150 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 100 grams All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Matcha powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper. Grease the paper lightly to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove the pan from heat and immediately stir in the white chocolate chips until smooth and fully combined.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until the mixture is pale and slightly frothy, about 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add the melted white chocolate and butter mixture to the eggs and sugar. Stir until fully incorporated.

Step 5

Mix in the vanilla extract, followed by the all-purpose flour, matcha powder, and salt. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Step 6

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using the back of a spoon or spatula.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Step 8

Allow the greenies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into 9 squares.

Step 9

Serve on their own or with a dusting of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream for extra decadence!
