Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 sheet aluminum foil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (approximately 375°F to 400°F).

Step 2

Wash the green beans thoroughly and trim the stem ends.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until all the beans are evenly coated.

Step 4

Lay out a large sheet of aluminum foil (approximately 18 inches) and place the seasoned green beans in the center. Spread them out into an even layer.

Step 5

Fold the sides of the aluminum foil up and over the green beans to create a sealed packet. Be sure the edges are crimped tightly to prevent any leaks.

Step 6

Place the foil packet on the preheated grill. Close the grill lid and cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping the packet halfway through, until the green beans are tender and slightly charred.

Step 7

Remove the foil packet from the grill and carefully open it (steam will escape, so use caution).

Step 8

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the grilled green beans and toss gently to coat.

Step 9

Serve the green beans hot as a side dish to your favorite grilled meats, fish, or vegetarian mains.
