Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 0.5 lb Ground lamb
  • 0.5 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 0.5 cup Tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 medium Tomatoes, sliced
  • 0.25 cup Cucumber, sliced
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, crumbled feta cheese, red onion, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties about ¾ inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the patties lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time as needed for your preferred level of doneness.

Step 5

Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 6

To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by a cooked hamburger patty.

Step 7

Top the patty with a slice of tomato and a few cucumber slices. Add more tzatziki sauce if desired, then place the top half of the bun on the burger.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as Greek salad or roasted potatoes.
