  • 6 large red chillies
  • 2 large red bell peppers

  • 200 grams brown sugar
  • 50 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 milliliters water
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt

Directions

Step 1

Wash the red chillies and red bell peppers thoroughly. Remove the stems and seeds. Roughly chop them into smaller pieces.

Peel the garlic cloves and grate the fresh ginger.

In a food processor, add the chopped chillies, red bell peppers, garlic cloves, and ginger. Pulse until you get a rough paste. It’s fine to leave some small chunks for texture.

In a large saucepan, add the vinegar, lemon juice, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved.
