Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry sheet
  • 150 grams Goat cheese
  • 250 grams Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 10 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a 10x12-inch rectangle. Transfer it to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 3

Using a sharp knife, score a 1-inch border around the edges of the pastry, being careful not to cut all the way through. This will create a raised crust once baked.

Step 4

In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it along the scored border of the pastry to promote a golden finish.

Step 5

Spread the goat cheese evenly over the inner rectangle of the pastry, leaving the border uncovered.

Step 6

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and arrange them cut-side up over the goat cheese. Distribute them evenly across the tart.

Step 7

Drizzle the olive oil and honey over the tomatoes, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper for seasoning.

Step 8

Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges of the pastry are puffed and golden brown and the tomatoes are gently roasted.

Step 9

Remove the tart from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.

Step 10

Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
