Ingredients

  • 115 grams Unsalted butter
  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 50 grams Brown sugar, packed
  • 75 grams Unsweetened cocoa powder (natural or Dutch-processed)
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 50 grams Gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 75 grams Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and immediately whisk in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth and glossy.

Step 3

Allow the mixture to cool slightly for 2-3 minutes, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.

Step 4

Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour blend and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Step 6

If using, fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate to add extra richness.

Step 7

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly with a spatula.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.

Step 9

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment overhang. Slice into 9 squares and enjoy!
