Ingredients

  • 4 medium Potatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 0.5 cup Coriander leaves
  • 2 pieces Green chili
  • 1 cup Gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Peel and boil the potatoes in a pot of salted water until they are tender. This will take about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Drain the boiled potatoes, let them cool slightly, and then mash them in a large bowl.

Step 3

Finely chop the onion, coriander leaves, and green chilies, and add them to the mashed potatoes.

Step 4

Add the rice flour, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, black pepper, ginger paste, and lemon juice to the potato mixture and mix well until everything is combined.

Step 5

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into flat, round cutlets.

Step 6

Spread the gluten-free breadcrumbs onto a plate. Coat each cutlet with breadcrumbs evenly on all sides.

Step 7

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Step 8

Once the oil is hot, add the cutlets to the pan. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 9

Fry each cutlet for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Step 10

Remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.

Step 11

Serve the potato cutlets hot with your choice of sauce or chutney.
