Ingredients

  • 200 grams Gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Xanthan gum
  • 1 packet Instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 180 milliliters Warm water
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 100 grams Tomato paste
  • 400 grams Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 8 leaves Fresh basil leaves, optional garnish

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, xanthan gum, and instant yeast. Stir in sugar and salt to combine well.

Step 2

Add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix with a wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms.

Step 3

Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 5

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 6

Add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes to the saucepan. Stir well and let simmer for about 10 minutes to develop flavors. Remove from heat.

Step 7

After the dough has rested, transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Wet your hands slightly with water and gently spread the dough into a pizza crust shape, about 1/4-inch thick.

Step 8

Spread the prepared marinara sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edge.

Step 9

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is firm and starts to color at the edges.

Step 10

Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.

Step 11

Slice and serve your delicious gluten-free pizza marinara. Enjoy!
