Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups Gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 0.25 cup Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Tomato sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 10 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and the packet of active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Step 2

Add the olive oil and salt, and gradually mix in the gluten-free all-purpose flour. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Step 3

Knead the dough in the bowl by hand for about 5 minutes, then cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rest in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 30-40 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Once the dough has risen, oil a rectangular baking sheet with olive oil and spread the dough onto the sheet using your fingers, to reach the edges evenly.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Step 6

Spread the sauce evenly over the dough, then top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 7

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
