Ingredients

  • 500 grams Gluten-free puff pastry
  • 200 grams Gouda cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Roll out the gluten-free puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut the pastry into 12 equal rectangles.

Step 3

Slice the Gouda cheese into 6 strips that are about 2 cm wide and as long as each pastry rectangle. Make sure they aren't too thick to ensure proper melting.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to make an egg wash.

Step 5

On 6 of the pastry rectangles, spread a thin layer of mustard. Place a strip of Gouda cheese on top of the mustard layer.
