Ingredients

  • 2 cups Gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup Whole milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Step 3

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

Step 4

In a large, deep pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Step 5

Using a donut cutter, cut out donuts from the dough. If you don't have a donut cutter, you can use a large and a small cookie cutter for the ring shape.

Step 6

Carefully drop a few donuts at a time into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 7

Remove the donuts using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Step 8

For the glaze, in a small bowl, whisk the powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of water until you achieve a smooth and thick glaze.

Step 9

While the donuts are still warm, dip them into the glaze, turning to coat. Let the excess glaze drip back into the bowl before placing them on a wire rack to set.

Step 10

Serve warm and enjoy your homemade gluten-free classic glazed donuts!
