Ingredients

  • 20 pieces Gluten-free gyoza wrappers
  • 100 grams Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 100 grams Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce (gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and green onions. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Step 2

Lay out the gluten-free gyoza wrappers on a clean surface. Place a heaping teaspoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper.

Step 3

Using your finger, dampen the edges of the gyoza wrappers with a little water. Fold the wrappers in half to create a semi-circle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Make sure there are no air bubbles.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create a dipping sauce. Set aside.

Step 5

Heat the vegetable oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, carefully place the gyozas in the pan, making sure they do not touch each other. Fry the bottoms until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Once the bottoms are cooked, carefully pour the water into the pan and immediately cover with a lid. This will steam the gyoza, cooking the wrappers all the way through. Steam for approximately 3-4 minutes or until the water has evaporated.

Step 7

Remove the lid and continue cooking for an additional minute to re-crisp the bottoms of the gyoza.

Step 8

Serve the gyozas hot with the prepared dipping sauce on the side.
