Ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef sirloin
  • 3 cups Broccoli florets
  • 0.25 cup Gluten-free soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 Green onions
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the beef sirloin thinly across the grain into bite-sized strips.

Step 2

Mince the garlic, grate the ginger, and slice the green onions. Set these aside.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free soy sauce, cornstarch, water, and brown sugar. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved.

Step 4

Add the sliced beef to the bowl with the marinade mixture. Stir to coat the beef well. Let it marinate while you prepare the broccoli.

Step 5

In a large pan or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Add the broccoli florets and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they become bright green and slightly tender. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside.

Step 7

In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Step 8

Add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 9

Increase the heat to high and add the marinated beef along with its marinade to the pan. Stir-fry the beef for about 5-8 minutes, or until it's just cooked through and browned.

Step 10

Return the broccoli to the pan with the beef. Stir everything together for another 2 minutes, allowing the broccoli to heat through and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 11

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 12

Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
