Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6 oz each) salmon fillets
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves (minced) garlic
  • 1 teaspoon (grated) ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks (thinly sliced) green onions
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Step 2

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to create the glaze.

Step 3

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, and season them with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 4

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the glaze generously over the top of each fillet.

Step 5

Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 minutes, or until the salmon is almost cooked through (it should flake easily with a fork).

Step 6

Meanwhile, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the remaining glaze and cook for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 7

Remove the salmon from the oven and brush the thickened glaze over the fillets. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and return the salmon to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until the glaze becomes caramelized and sticky.

Step 8

Remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to rest for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Step 9

Serve the glazed salmon fillets warm with your favorite sides, such as steamed vegetables or rice.
