Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 0.5 cups Balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 0.25 cups Chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and fresh rosemary.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, sear the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 4

Add the balsamic vinegar, honey, and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Slowly add the slurry to the skillet, stirring constantly to thicken the glaze.

Step 6

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the glaze over them. Cover and let the chicken cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Step 7

Once cooked through, remove the chicken from the skillet. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the glazed balsamic chicken with the remaining sauce drizzled over the top. Pair with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
