Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set the linguine aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 3

Stir in the soy sauce, honey, lime juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Step 4

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. If the mixture looks too dry, add the reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

Step 5

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro and sliced scallions.

Step 6

Transfer the Ginger Cilantro Linguine to serving plates, garnishing with additional cilantro and toasted sesame seeds if desired.

Step 7

Serve warm and enjoy!
