  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 large Egg (for dough)
  • 300 grams Almond paste
  • 1 large Egg (for almond paste mixture)
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
  • 20 pieces Whole almonds (for decoration)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, speculaas spice mix, salt, and baking powder.

Cut the cold, cubed butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
