Directions

Step 1

Rinse the pearl barley thoroughly under cold water and set it aside to drain.

Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and dice the carrots and potatoes into small cubes. Slice the celery and leek thinly, ensuring any dirt is removed from the leek leaves in advance.
