Ingredients

  • 2 cups Ponche Crema (Venezuelan cream liqueur)
  • 2.5 teaspoons Unflavored gelatin powder
  • 0.25 cup Cold water
  • 1 cup Sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

1. In a small bowl, pour 1/4 cup of cold water and evenly sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder over it. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom the gelatin.

Step 2

2. While the gelatin is blooming, in a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk and sweetened condensed milk. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until it warms up (do not let it boil).

Step 3

3. Once the milk mixture is warm, add the bloomed gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

Step 4

4. Stir in the Ponche Crema, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 5

5. Pour the mixture into a large mold or individual serving molds. Allow it to cool to room temperature, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.

Step 6

6. To serve, unmold the gelatine by running a knife gently around the edges and inverting it onto a serving plate. If desired, sprinkle with a pinch of ground nutmeg for garnish before serving.
