Ingredients

  • 1 lb Steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 4 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 5 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 6 cups Mixed greens
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 0.5 piece Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 piece Cucumber, sliced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper to make the steak marinade.

Step 2

Rub the marinade all over the steak and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Step 3

Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 4

Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly across the grain.

Step 5

In a small jar or bowl, whisk together the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, and honey to make the dressing.

Step 6

In a large salad bowl, toss the mixed greens with the cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and half of the dressing.

Step 7

Arrange the salad on individual serving plates. Top each salad with slices of steak.

Step 8

Drizzle the remaining dressing over the steak and serve immediately.
