Directions

Step 1

Peel the garlic cloves and gently smash them with the flat side of a knife to release their flavors.

In a small saucepan, combine the garlic cloves and olive oil. Set the heat to low and let the garlic simmer gently. Stir occasionally to prevent browning. This process should take about 15 minutes, or until the garlic becomes soft and golden but not browned.
