Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix well with a wooden spoon until a soft dough begins to form.

Step 3

Gradually add the remaining flour, about 1/2 cup at a time, mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
