Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 2 stalks Celery stalks
  • 400 g Crushed tomatoes
  • 200 ml Heavy cream
  • 250 g All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 80 g Butter
  • 120 ml Milk
  • 250 ml Beef stock
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Finely dice the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery.

Step 2

In a large pot or deep skillet, heat some butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Mix in the diced carrot and celery, cooking for another 5 minutes to soften the vegetables.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, beef stock, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
