Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fusilli pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.

In the same pot of boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until tender but still bright green. Drain and set aside.
