Ingredients

  • 2 shots Espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup Whole milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Ice cubes
  • 0.5 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Brew 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong coffee. Allow it to cool for a few minutes while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground ginger. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warmed through, about 3-4 minutes. Do not let it boil.

Step 3

Remove the spiced milk mixture from heat and add the vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.

Step 4

Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour in the brewed espresso or coffee. Slowly add the spiced milk mixture, stirring gently to combine.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, whisk the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar together using a hand whisk or electric mixer until soft peaks form.

Step 6

Spoon the whipped cream frosting over the latte and sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for garnish.

Step 7

Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy your Frosted Spice Latte!
