Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons Shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cracked black pepper
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon Water (for egg wash)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

Step 2

Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until the mixture forms a sticky dough.

Step 3

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.

Step 4

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Step 5

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 6

Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a round or oval loaf. Transfer the loaf to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 7

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash. Brush the egg wash evenly over the loaf.

Step 8

Sprinkle the sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, rosemary, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper evenly over the top of the loaf.

Step 9

Let the loaf rest for 15 minutes before baking.

Step 10

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Step 11

Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
