Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 medium, grated carrot
  • 3 stalks, finely chopped green onion
  • 1 small, finely minced onion
  • 3 cloves, finely minced garlic
  • 1 large, beaten egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 25 sheets lumpia (spring roll) wrappers
  • 2 cups (for frying) vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup (for sealing wrappers) water

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, grated carrot, chopped green onion, minced onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 2

Place one lumpia wrapper on a clean, flat surface with one corner pointing toward you (like a diamond shape). Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture onto the wrapper, arranging it in a thin log shape about 1 inch above the bottom corner.

Step 3

Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper snugly over the filling. Roll the wrapper tightly upward until you reach the middle.

Step 4

Fold in the left and right corners of the wrapper to seal the sides, then continue to roll upward. Brush a small amount of water along the final edge to seal the wrapper completely.

Repeat this wrapping process with the remaining filling and lumpia wrappers until all the filling is used.
