Ingredients

  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0 French bread or rice (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Step 3

Toss the shrimp in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated. Let the shrimp marinate for 5 minutes while you prepare the skillet.

Step 4

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and sizzling.

Step 5

Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

Step 6

Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the shrimp with lemon juice. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for garnish.

Step 7

Serve immediately with warm French bread or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.
