Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 1 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely diced
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 0 Condiments (optional: mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc.)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, diced red onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all the ingredients are well incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a burger patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, place the turkey patties in the pan, leaving space between each patty.

Step 4

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Avoid pressing down on the patties to retain juiciness.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

Step 6

Once the patties are fully cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a cooked turkey patty, a slice of tomato, and optional condiments of your choice. Finish with the top half of the bun.

Step 7

Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers!
