Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Baguette
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Cut the baguette into 12 diagonal slices about 1/2-inch thick.

Step 3

Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 5 minutes or until they become lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.

While the bread is toasting, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, then chop it into small pieces.
