  • 75 grams unsalted butter, room temperature (for topping)
  • 50 grams sugar (for dusting)
  • 100 grams grated cheese (cheddar or Edam)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Stir in one tablespoon of sugar. Let it rest for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture is frothy and bubbly.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add the frothy yeast mixture and eggs.
