  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoons Sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoons Fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 Green onions, sliced
  • 1 Red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 0.5 cups Beef or chicken stock
  • 0.25 teaspoons Chili flakes (optional)
  • 0 Steamed rice (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Slice the beef thinly against the grain into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, ground white pepper, and sesame oil. Add the beef slices and marinate for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, sugar, oyster sauce, beef stock, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Set aside.
