  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (or sugar)
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons Water
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced or grated
  • 0.5 teaspoons Red chili flakes (optional)

Directions

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, honey (or sugar), and rice vinegar. Mix well until honey or sugar is fully dissolved.

Step 2

In another small bowl or directly into the same bowl, mix the cornstarch and water. Whisk until the cornstarch is fully dissolved to create a slurry.

Step 4

Pour in the sauce mixture and bring it to a gentle simmer.

Step 5

Gradually add the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

Step 6

If desired, add red chili flakes for a hint of spice.

Step 7

Remove the sauce from heat and use immediately in your stir fry, or let it cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
