Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta

  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions, until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
