Ingredients

  • 500 g Boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1 Carrot, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 2 Green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breast into thin, bite-sized strips.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and the cornstarch. Add the chicken strips and mix well to coat. Let marinate for 10 minutes while preparing other ingredients.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken strips in a single layer. Cook for 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the red bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir fry for 4–5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and water.

Step 7

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly in the sauce.

Step 8

Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is heated through.

Step 9

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Step 10

Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles and enjoy!
