Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Chicken breast
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoons Cayenne pepper
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1.5 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Slice the chicken breasts into thin, fry-shaped strips (about 1/2 inch wide and 4-5 inches long). Set aside.

Step 2

In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Step 3

In a second bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together until combined.

Step 4

In a third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

Step 5

Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs gently onto the chicken to ensure a solid coating.

Step 6

Place the breaded chicken strips onto a tray or plate and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the coating to adhere properly.

Step 7

In a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to maintain an even temperature.

Step 8

Fry the chicken strips in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 9

Transfer the fried chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 10

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces such as honey mustard, BBQ, or ranch.
