Ingredients

  • 500 grams Chicken breast
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1 Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 Red onion
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
  • 6 Wooden or metal skewers

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and set aside in a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Chop the red and yellow bell peppers into 1-inch squares and cut the red onion into similar-sized pieces.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic cloves, paprika, cumin powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.

Step 4

Pour the marinade over the chicken cubes and mix well to ensure all pieces are coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for even more flavor.

Step 5

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 15 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.

Step 6

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 7

Thread the marinated chicken, bell peppers, and onion alternately onto the skewers, distributing the ingredients evenly.

Step 8

Place the assembled skewers on the grill, cooking for about 12-15 minutes. Turn occasionally and grill until the chicken is cooked through and appears lightly charred.

Step 9

Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Step 10

Serve the brochette poulet hot, along with a side of your choice such as a fresh salad or warm pita bread.
