Ingredients

  • 250 grams pasta (penne, spaghetti, or your choice)
  • 300 grams broccoli florets
  • 200 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 units garlic cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoons red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 6 units fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • 30 grams grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining and set the pasta aside.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, prepare the broccoli by cutting it into bite-sized florets. Halve the cherry tomatoes, peel and finely mince the garlic.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
