Ingredients

  • 3 cups Broccoli florets
  • 3 cups Cauliflower florets
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup Red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Wash the broccoli and cauliflower florets under cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Step 2

Chop the broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.

Step 3

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Once done, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to cool, then crumble into small pieces.

Step 4

Add the crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and finely chopped red onion to the bowl with the broccoli and cauliflower.

Step 5

In a separate small bowl, prepare the dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

Step 6

Pour the dressing over the vegetables and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.

Step 7

Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 8

Serve chilled and enjoy!
